You can't beat the view from this condo! We also spent a lot of time on the beach below watching the birds, collecting shells and swimming. We appreciated the well-supplied kitchen that made cooking easy. We loved the decor and the artwork in the condo. The central location is a plus. We rented bikes for our entire stay and were able to ride to the Lighthouse Cafe, the Ding Darling preserve and many nature centers scattered throughout the islands. This unit is spacious and very, very well equipped. We have rented condos for the last 23 years and this one ranks high on our list. I cook almost nightly on vacation and this is the first time there have been good knives and utensils to make the job almost as easy as at home. The unit could use a larger skillet and a better soup pot. Access to the beach is amazing. The lanai is worth the price itself! It's a large unit, and for 6 people works well. The president of the condo assoc. is a bit of a busy body and quite nosy, but we understand that he is just trying to protect the owners. Beach chairs are a problem. The unit needs at least 4 nice beach chairs. It has 2 just ok chairs and the rest are chairs that you use around a picnic table to eat--not to lounge on the beach. The unit needs to freshen up paint, and get rid of the wallpaper, but for a rental, it's ok. The beds are just ok as far as comfort goes. The owners have gone over and above to label and instruct you on everything in the unit. Credit first goes to the Select Vac. Properties. They got us into this unit in the Atrium several years ago and they make all the details for returning easy. They make you feel like family. They do all the little extras (welcome basket upon arrival, ease
of getting forwarded mail, etc. )that make you want to keep coming back.
Next, the Atrium is first class.
Last but not least, the unit we rent is very special........well equipped, perfect location, spectacular view.........the owners make you feel like it's home.

The Atrium is a wonderful West Gulf complex. Unit #303 has an unbelievable view. It is hard to find fault with this unit without sounding like nit picking but just a few changes & it would be flawless. The mattresses in the guest room along w/all pillows are too soft & lumpy. Service from Comcast (Internet mainly, although television was also a problem some late in the second week) was a headache. I spent nearly everyday on the phone or with their repair person at the Atrium unit 304. Owners were aware of this as they too were involved and in contact with us. Not only was it time consuming, I could not conduct business as we did not have a secure internet connection. Atrium #304 replaced a unit rented to us by another Sanibel agency (which shall remain nameless -- a renovation project in the neighboring condo had made our unit completely uninhabitable).
Atrium #304 is the most beautifully located, furnished, and equipped apartment we have ever enjoyed on the island -- about 15 or 16 different ones since 1964. The owners have anticipated every need and wish, and even provided some necessary tools! We were totally comfortable during our stay, even with two additional guests from Atlanta and a granddaughter visiting from Holland during part of our three weeks.
We hope to be in the market for an island condo in the next few months. Atrium #304 has set the standard by which any other must be judged.
