Shell Island Beach Club 5B is a newly decorated vacation rental condo on Sanibel Island. Wonderful sweeping Gulf Front views from this raised first-floor beachfront corner unit. Tranquil setting yet only a short walk from shops and restaurants and near the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and fishing pier. All members of the family will enjoy this property. High-speed wireless internet; tiled throughout. 3 TV's, large heated swimming pool and spa, sauna, on-premise ice maker, tennis, shuffleboard, free bicycle usage, library, DVD rentals. Enjoy it all at 5B, the closest building to the beach, and wonderful shelling! This property does not offer an elevator.

"NO POOL! WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS. The TV in the guest room didn't work. We didn't have enough towels, intake vents were dirty, both umbrellas were broken.

We do, however, want to clarify a few details so future guests have an accurate understanding of the home and the services provided. Regarding the dish towels and washcloths, you let us know that you needed these additional items. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and our team delivered extra dish towels and wash cloths to you the next day. For the guest bedroom TV, we sent a technician to troubleshoot as soon as it was reported. It was determined to be a cable provider issue rather than a TV issue, and the cable company serviced the box that Thursday during your stay to get it resolved. We were not made aware of any issues with the umbrellas during your visit. Had we known, we would have gladly replaced them immediately. We always encourage guests to share any concerns as soon as they arise so we can address them promptly. As for the pool, the listing indicates in detail that this property does not include pool access and rates reflect this missing amenity. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding on this. We value all guest feedback, as it helps us continue improving both the property and the guest experience. "This is a very nice condo. Unit 5B has a nice ocean view. Layout is nice. Furniture looks great and is very comfortable. Beds are satisfactory. Kitchen is small if two people are moving about. Appliances are new. Washer/dryer work well. Not posh but solid.

The first floor steps (25) were a problem for my wife and I due to medical reasons. Not so much every day but a bear with suitcases. 5-B parking spot is tricky at night navigating the support pillars.

The office staff were very nice.

Note to owners/rental office. A very small thing. Please put felt pads on dining chairs. Moving these heavy chairs make excessive noise when moved.

A Life Saver for Our Unexpected Stay on Sanibel Island!

"My husband and I arrived a week early for our timeshare week and found ourselves without accommodations. Thankfully, Ron contacted and we were able to book Sanibel Beach Club #5B at a discounted rate, and it truly became our lifesaver for the week! The condo has absolutely stunning views of Shell Island Beach, making every moment spent there so special.

The condo itself was nice, spacious, and well-equipped. However, we did find the bed to be very hard, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Additionally, we encountered some non-seeing bugs inside the condo, which seemed to bother us despite spending most of our time indoors.

That said, we were still able to enjoy our time, and it was the perfect place to relax and celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Despite a couple of small setbacks, we had a wonderful week and are grateful for the accommodations!

We’d definitely recommend Sanibel Beach Club #5B for anyone looking for a place with incredible views and a cozy setting.

Can't Go Wrong at this Quieter East End Property on Sanibel

"Our unit at Shell Island Beach Club was close to the beach and had spectacular views from the lanai. If you like the quieter east end of Sanibel this is a good location for you. Our unit, 5B, was in good condition with some signs of wear evident. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach, as well as the pool area which is very well maintained. The rental management, Select Vacation Properties, always provides great service. Overall, you would enjoy any stay at unit 5B Shell Island Beach Club.

"3-week stay that we enjoyed very much! The unit was very comfortable and bright with a wonderful view of the Gulf. For the long stay we greatly appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, as well as the washer and dryer. It would be helpful to have a vacuum cleaner or mop in the unit since it can be hard to keep the floors clean with all the sand being brought in.

"SIBC is such a great complex on the east end of Sanibel. We love the grounds, pool and how well kept the buildings always are. The condo owners take great pride in their units and it shows in the lovely furnishings and decor.
Building 5 has the best views of the ocean which you can enjoy from the lanai from sunrise to sunset.
If you want to be near the lighthouse and sandy shallow waters, this is the best place for that. SIBC offers free bikes to use during your stay, all have comfortable seats and basket on the handlebars for your camera, sunscreen, towel and bottled water. Just grab and go without any worries.
Unit was clean and fresh upon arrival and came with surface sanitizer so you can spritz and clean during your stay. Little bottles of hand sanitizers came in handy for those quick runs to the store.

"This was our first time staying at Shell Island Beach Club. We liked the east end of the island. It seemed a little less busy and quieter. This unit at Shell Island Beach Club was simply great! It has a terrific view. The furnishings had recently been updated and were comfortable and perfect for the unit. The mural in the master bedroom is a lot of fun. The only drawback is parking, which is under the building. A bit hard to negotiate the space for the B unit so we parked elsewhere. All in all, you won't be disappointed with your stay at 5B in Shell Island Beach Club!

"Personell at Select Vacations are always great. We have rented SIBC unit #5 before and were very happy with everything. Not so this time. The living room furniture is in dire need of replacement as are the washer and dryer. The unit was not as clean as it should be either. I was very disappointed as this was a family vacation. I love the location and would definitely rent this unit again provided things were brought up to par. Sadly, the red tide conditions limited our time on the beach but that could not be helped. The only way I could recommend this property to a friend was if I knew the issues had been resolved.

"We loved the condo unit location: close to the lighthouse fishing pier, steps from the beach, on the bike path, and a short walk to our favorite breakfast restaurant, the Lighthouse Cafe. The screened in lanai was perfect for relaxing and looking at the beach. We used the well-equipped kitchen, community grills, tennis court, free bikes, and pool/hot tub. Beds were comfortable,and we definitely would stay here again!

"Our family has been coming to Shell Island for 10+ years. We have two timeshares but one week is never enough so we always extend the trip by renting another unit at Shell Island for a few days. Shell Island 5B was a fine unit overall we were happy with our stay. There were a few small things about the unit that we felt could be improved (some deferred maintenance/minor cleanliness items) but overall nothing that I would say would keep us or should keep others from renting the unit in the future.

"Short walk to the beach. Great sunrise. Nice place to visit. My mistake was that we went with another couple and I mistakenly thought there was two queen beds. Only one queen bed and two twin beds. This was my over site and not a reflection of the rental. It was a nice slightly better than average beach rental. Don't expect the ritz but still very nice. The money spent is partially for the great location and sunrise. The poool and hit tub were very nice as well. We would rent this again.

"We just came back from spending two weeks in apt 5B and we loved it. The location is perfect and the view to dye for. the master bedroom and living has clear views of the ocean and the beach. the apt was well equipped and it was fairly clean when we arrived. There were beach towels and many spare towels available to use. if I was the owner of that property, i would send the living room rug to be deep clean or replaced altogether. i would also recommend to add more tea towels as there was only one available. However, the pool, the proximity to the beach and free bikes on the property, really made this apartment worth what we paid for.

"This is the second time we have stayed here.....our 6th year in Sanibel!! We love it here! Everything you need.....minus wifi...the wifi was terrible this time, but was told they are getting new network....we spent two weeks here this time and love how close we are to the beach. Several awesome storms over the water that we could watch from the lani. if the wifi were better it would have been a perfect two weeks!!

"The perfect location on Sanibel near the Light House. View from the room is spectacular, and you feel like you are not in the country. Beautiful beaches and marine life. Plenty of time to bike along the paths through the island. Note that the rooms are up high off the ground, and there is no elevator. Otherwise, a very relaxing stay. We will be back next year.

"Excellent. The unit is great and the location on Sanibel is perfect for us. Quiet, great beach access, all we really need. Management company at the property is reliable, pleasant and convenient. They have beach chairs, towels and umbrellas available some for rent at moderate prices and bikes to use for free that are great. Select Vacations does a great job and are dependable and easy to work with. Only issue is they are located at opposite end of island and need to figure out a way to leave the keys for us at the property so we don't need to go to the office with traffic down and back to get the keys.

"this was a fabulous vacation! You could be as active as you wanted, riding bikes, rent jet ski's, shop, amazing shelling, or just lay on the beach, which we did it all! I am currently working on my masters degree in nursing and I had the best view of the beach from the lanai while studying and drinking coffee. Beautiful condo! Loved having access to the Lanai along with the view from our bedroom. The only problem we encountered was the internet being a little slow. Needed more bandwidth.

"Great location right on the beach! Beautifull views! Close to everything! Only complaint was very poor wifi, have to share with complex....being a private residence, owner should use cable company for wifi. Luckily had perfect weather so rarely inside, but could have been real issue if stranded inside due to weather.
