Nice unit with the potential to be great

"The pool was nice with good beach access and the grills were in surprisingly good shape. The unit was nice inside with good working AC and it was clean.

The TVs are in serious need of upsizing and the internet was painfully slow. Units don't need 60 inch + TVs but I'm not sure if these were over 30 and the main TV in the living room is very far away. I'm young with good eyes and I could barely see the TV. Considering that there is no view at night time there, folks watch TV, the unit should have a borderline TV from at least the last decade.

The kitchen equipment, (knives and pans for example) needs replenishment. They are in bad shape and unsafe to use. There are some things that as an owner of a condo you just have to replenish and cooking hardware is one of them. It's ok to go super cheap but for 3-4K/week to stay there, the equipment needs to be usable.

The beds were decent for a rental.

The property management company was great and always has been. We've been to the island multiple times, plan to return, and plan to continue selecting properties with this agency.

Thank you for your hospitality. This review was intended to be harsh but honest. We enjoyed our stay but we enjoyed our prior unit much more and look forward to getting back to that unit next time. Hopefully, the owners of this unit consider updating the TVs, internet, and kitchen equipment to make this unit more inviting and usable for families.

"The rental was great! It was located just a short walk from the beach. The pool was nice. The condo was nice! Great kitchen for cooking! Nice screen porch! The beach supplies were not great. We had to buy a few chairs & umbrella because they were broken. Overall, great location and we would stay here again.

"Enjoyed Sanddollar A201 very much! Clean, up to date, comfortable bed, plenty of towels - plus beach towels, lanai furniture was great, nice bathrooms, air fryer toaster oven combo in kitchen, living room seating comfy. Pool great! Access to beach was easy. Storage closet beach items were too musty to use - could use an upgrade there. Location was fine - 15 min bike ride to Bailey’s grocery; 2 min ride to small Bailey’s market at Sundial. Maintenance responded to request quickly & professionally. Would stay at Sanddollar again!

"This condo is updated very nicely. It is a corner unit with lots of windows and light. Amazing view. Very clean and well maintained. The management company that takes care of it is very efficient. The only thing that is not updated is the living room TV. It is very small and older technology so the picture is not good. We played cards at night since the TV wasn’t that good. With an upgraded TV this condo is perfect!

"Sanddollar is our favorite place to stay on Sanibel. The view from A-201 is outstanding. The beds were very comfortable, even in the second bedroom. The unit has been very well maintained. We had a new washer and dryer, very comfortable furnishings throughout and even on the lanai. The outdoor amenities at Sanddolar are terrific - the pool, the outdoor grills (there are 4, all new). We used Select Vacation Properties for the first time and were delighted with their service. We hope to use them again and again.

"This condo was very spacious for six people. The couch was not a very comfortable pull out bed for sure. The drying rack that was on the porch was rusted and broken. We were led to believe that the storage unit Had beach stuff but it was such a mess everything was piled up and things were broken and rusted that we didn’t even attempt it. I would recommend this place but with many reservations.

"Our rental was extremely clean and they had everything we needed to get our vacation started. Plenty of room with both bedrooms and tons of closet space and cabinets. It was a great experience from the start with the communication of Select Vacation Rental Properties, they were organized and had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful view from our screened in porch which was great in the mornings enjoying our coffee and seeing the ocean. Brief walk to the beach and super easy for us to go back and forth from the beach to the rental. Everything was up to date and clean. We can’t wait to go back!

"The rental was amazing. I loved the layout. The bedrooms were huge and the kitchen was beautiful and stocked. I really liked that the washer and dryer was full size. That makes for less laundry loads thru the week. The view of the beach was great and the walk to the beach was minimal. I liked how private the area was so that when we were on the beach, it didn’t feel like you were on top of anyone. Definitely recommend. Beautiful area, I just wish it hadn’t rained everyday of our trip. Although the getaway was much needed and the change of scenery was just what we needed!

"Condo is in the perfect location to access all the essentials (groceries, dining, causeway, private beach). This is the 5th year we've rented this unit and it never fails to impress. The condo is modern, clean, well stocked with all the beach, cooking and living essentials. I can't say enough about Select Vacation Properties. During the COVID-19 pandemic we were stuck on the island due to a family member's health concerns. Select Vacation went out of their way to accommodate our need to extend. They did this TWICE. We've utilized other rental agencies on the island in the past. We're sold on Select Vacation.

"Sanibel is a lovely place, and this condo is excellent. It's well-maintained, quiet, located close to the beach but not close to the road, and is in a good location for cycling (20 minute ride to grocery store, nice ride to the fishing pier, etc.). We've stayed here 3 times and would definitely rent here another time.

"We loved our stay on Sanibel Island. The condo has a wonderful location overlooking the beach and a nice pool that we sat at on windier days. The unit was beautifully updated and equipped for a week long stay. The beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed renting bikes for the week. Traffic can be slow so we road them to dinner, shopping and trips to the grocery. We would definitely like to return.

"We loved this gorgeous apartment right on the beach. Recently renovated it is absolutely beautifully appointed. The kitchen has everything you would need--so great for us as cooks. The doors to the lanai open totally wide (three wide) so you feel you are outside on the beach, but still have the privacy you want. It was wonderful. Thank you.

Perfect Relaxing Retreat

"My mom and I rented this condo for our annual mother/daughter getaway. The condo was amazing! We spent most of our time on the large screened in porch enjoying our direct view of the beach. The condo was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It was recently renovated and still had the "new" smell. It was also very spacious and well equipped including a closet downstairs with everything needed for the beach. The condo was stocked with plenty of extra linens, blankets and beach towels which we appreciated. The pool was only a minutes walk away and was very nice equipped with plenty of lawn chairs, patio tables, a grill and a clean restroom. The beach as well was only a minutes walk. We enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of Sanddollar and we really loved A201. It was hard to leave at the end of the week! Select Vacation was also great to work with and when I lost the key to the condo they were quick to replace it. The local restaurant was also nice enough to call when they found the key and return it to me. All in all it was a perfect stay!

"Would highly recommend this property. Only shortcoming was the condition of the knives (dangerously dull) and no BBQ utensils. All else was terrific. The unit has beach towels, bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. Grills are brand new. Select Vacation Properties is a terrific owner/manger. Very responsive and helpful.

The Best Christmas Present Ever!

"Our family of four rented this property for a week beginning on 12/23/16. The condo is perfect! Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated; kitchen is well-equipped. Incredible view of the ocean from the lanai. Easy access to the beach, restaurants, shopping and sights. We appreciated having linens and towels provided and a "starter kit" of paper towels, toilet paper, dish and laundry detergents. Only drawback was lack of umbrella and beach chairs in owners close, however, Select Vacation Properties was very responsive in replacing these items the day after check-in.

"We are seasoned travelers and have spent many vacations on Sanibel. We booked Sanddollar A201 through Select Vacation Properties. The unit description of the unit was accurate -- a clean, well-equipped and maintained unit with a beautiful view of the Gulf. The floor plan is more unique than the typical condo layout on the island and the extra space was welcome. The property was impressively maintained -- pool, tennis courts, lovely outdoor lanai. We have come to trust Select Vacation Properties both as a management company (since SVP managed our condo when we owned on Sanibel) and, now, as visitors to the island - they offer knowledge, efficiency, responsiveness with a smile!

Our time in Paradise

"We arrived to find a clean well appointed beach front condo.Everything worked well.The view was breath taking. The pool is heated, and the gas grills(4)cooked our steaks,sausages and other goodies well.This was our 3rd stay in this condo and we booked it for next year. We had a fine time.

"We have been coming to this lovely Island for 25 years and never tire of it's natural beauty , laid back life style , relaxing qualities and fabulous climate . Sanddollar is a very nice property and A201 is a nicely furnished comfortable Condo , perfect for 2 people and OK for a family of 4. We loved the Balcony , great views and as it is a corner there was always a very pleasant cooling breeze . Can't wait till October when we will again visit this beautiful Island.

"Wake up walk through the unit to open the shutters and step out on the porch and see and hear the surf.Ride your bicycle,come back then walk on the beach for a while.Swim in the pool,cook your steaks on one of the 4 grills.relax in the evening on a comfy couch and even do your laundry in the full size washer dryer.Tastfully done and just feels like home.Have stayed in this unit 3yrs running and already have booked it for next year.
