Paradise on the beach

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Condo is exactly as advertised. Total remodel after hurricane is breathtakingly beautiful, just like out of a magazine. Kitchen is very well stocked. Lots of linens and even beach towels! Everything you need to go to the beach is available in the private storage area. We felt very pampered having all of these amenities. Quiet place. Can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone going to Sanibel.

Perfect location in a beautifully managed building

"The unit was well appointed and in good condition with lots of kitchen supplies, updated kitchen and bath. Location was perfect mid Island for quick bike rides everywhere. Complex is impeccably managed and we played pickleball everyday right outside our door! As in other reviews we were a bit surprised that there were not 4 sandchairs in decent shape and no umbrellas. We ended up having to rent them. Otherwise absolutely no complaints! Appreciated the property managers welcome basket with essentials like laundry and dish soap, TP and paper towels.

"We had a great week at this condo. It was a beautiful setting with peaceful views from the linai and all the amenities we needed! The pool was quiet and the beach was not crowded. Everything was clean and it was great to have access to beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, etc. Would definitely rent here again!

Our Week In Sanibel

"Had a great time on Sanibel and the beachfront condo was pretty much what we were looking for. It was clean well equipped and comfortable. The only minor inconvienence was that it was presented as handicapped accessible and while the front door was 36" wide the bedroom and bathrooms were smaller and a bit of a squeeze for my walker. If you are in a wheelchair it might not work for you, that being said the deck and elevator made it fine for us and we had a great stay. Enjoyed Doc Ford's, Lazy Flamingo and Timbers Restaurants. Also had great take out chicken and pies from Pecking Order. Check in and out were seamless and Internet was easy and fast.

"This corner first floor ocean-front unit was a great location! Amenities were good-lots of beach toys, boogie boards, chairs etc. A new beach umbrella is needed. Inside furnishings are nice, beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked with all necessary dishes. Master bath shower is upgraded and lovely. Under-sink cabinet is water damaged and in need of repair, but it’s only cosmetic.
Only complaint was construction in the unit above us for 3 out of 7 days! Overall, great place for a relaxing or active vacation.

"Our Sanibel vacation was planned two years ago. Finally, we had our Sand Dollar vacation. We found the unit to be exactly as it was described. The property was clean and well maintained inside and outside. The furnishings were attractive and comfortable. There was plenty of space and storage. The lanai was where we started and ended each day. Beach equipment was available for our use. The pathways to the beach had a lot of charm and the pool was pristine.
We loved the beach with all the shells and pure sand.
The Sand Dollar was convenient to restaurants and many interesting activities.
Chris (Select Vacations) was always available when needed.
We loved the boat ride to Cayo Casta State Park an island off Captiva known for shelling and beautiful beaches.
Over Easy is a great breakfast venue you should be hungry. Timbers, 400 Rabbits, Doc Frank's, and Island Cow a fun family eatery served very good meals.

"my family of 5 (wife, twin 9 year olds and 15 year old daughters) found this property to be all we could hope for. The views are great, close to pool, close to the beach, close to your car, extremely clean and well stocked, quality furniture, great appliances, ect. I suppose if you don't point out a flaw people think you're not a real review, so in that light, the wifi is kind of slow (I could care less, it worked) Definitely a unit we would not hesitate to rent again

"The rental was fabulous. The condo itself was huge, clean, well maintained, smelled clean, had every kitchen item one would want, plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and beach toys available for guests. The grounds were very well maintained. The tennis courts and pickleball courts are in excellent condition. The pool is lovely....clean and warm.

"This was our first visit to the Sand Dollar and we weren't disappointed. It is a beautiful property that is well manicured and the people we met during our stay were very friendly. Unit C104 was very nice and was the perfect size for 3 adults. It has a spacious kitchen with everything you need to make dinner. The view of the gulf from the patio is wonderful due to it being a corner unit. We've been vacationing on Sanibel for 20 years, and we've stayed at several different properties and this one is near the top of our list. Restaurants we'd recommend are- The Timbers, Fish House, Dante's for authentic pizza, and Gramma Dot's.

"The unit was very nice and equipped. We usually stay on West Gulf Dr but really loved the location of Sanddollar on Middle Gulf. The unit was bigger than our normal place and loved having grills by the pool. Would stay here again. The condo was a little dirty but nothing bad. Awesome time!!!

"We enjoyed the stay immensely. Plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella. We added a covered iced tea pitcher. There was a big pot for boiling shrimp, but not anything suitable for boiling pasta or chili. Could use a couple more cooking utensils. Other than that, the Kitchen was very well equipped. The layout is good and there’s lots of natural light since it is an end unit. Loved the generously sized screened balcony with two chaises and a dining table for four. We’d definitely rent this unit again. Also, customer service from Select was excellent! Future renters note: the only food you will find in this kitchen is S&P. No oils, spices etc.

"It was a very good experience. Check in and out was simple and quick. Condo was nice. A few things a bit outdated and worn but not bad. Good water pressure in showers. Favorite amenities were the shared spaces for the condos to cook, swim, play tennis, and for course the beach.

"This is our 5th different condo rental on Sanibel over the years, and it turned out to be the best. Unit C104 at Sanddollar is a larger than typical 2BR unit on Sanibel, which was very well appointed. In addition, the far west Middle Gulf Drive location was ideal. We will rent here again.

"This is a great unit, well-maintained resort, and well-situated on the island. The unit is tastefully decorated with furnishings next to new. The kitchen is well-equipped with 2-3 sets of silverware, dishes, etc. Makes for a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation spot.

"We had some great days at the Gulf Coast on Sanibel Island in a comfortable holiday apartement close to the beach. The apartement was well equiped with all things we need incl. sun umbrellas and beach chairs. We loved the 4 barbeques in the garden area to grill our meat. Shops and restaurants were near by.

"Sanibel is a beautiful area on the Gulf coast that still has preserved areas to explore. The bike trails are wonderful--especially if you have children as the family can ride together without worrying about traffic and safety. The condo at the Sanddollar was ideally located and small enough not to feel crowded but large enough to have a nice pool, nice tennis courts, and nice landscaping. We enjoyed our time in Sanibel and would definitely return to the Sanddollar.
