Sandpiper Beach 405 is a vacation rental condo located on Sanibel Island. Sandpiper Beach is a secluded 27-unit oceanfront complex situated on 13 acres on beautiful beaches of Sanibel. Located on a dead-end street, directly on the Gulf of Mexico and adjacent to a wildlife preserve, Sandpiper Beach is the best-kept secret on the island! The pool is heated to a comfortable 85 degrees and offers a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the tropical sun. The complex includes tennis and shuffleboard courts, barbecue grills and covered parking. Wireless internet access is available throughout the complex.

Stay in our newly renovated vacation home and experience all that Sanibel Island has to offer! Our unit (#405) sleeps six (K/TT/SS) and includes 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a well-appointed kitchen and dining area, and a spacious living area with vaulted ceilings. Free local telephone service is provided. The living area includes a large flat-screen TV, stereo and CD/DVD/VCR. Cable TV with DVD is available in each bedroom. Enjoy beautiful sunrise views from the covered lanai overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Subtropical winter weather and cool ocean breezes in the summer make Sanibel Island a popular year-round vacation destination. Approximately one third of the island is undeveloped. There are no traffic lights or high-rise buildings to spoil the island’s charm. The island is home to the J.N “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States and is world famous for its spectacular migratory bird populations. Sanibel is also famous for its pristine white sand beaches, some of the finest shelling beaches in the world. Golf, tennis, boating excursions, a wide variety of water sports and excellent fishing are readily available. The island is crisscrossed by 22 miles of paved bicycle trails, which is perfect for exploring!

"great stay and very accommodating. Condo very nice but a couple of items need addressing. Outside table busted, guest closet door does not stay on track and worst of all, dinning room chair need either new cushions or set replace. Felt like when sitting going to right through chair.

"Beautiful unobstructed view!
Condo is Beautifully de heated with updated appliances including large loads washer/dryer. Condo is fully stocked, all you need to do is bring your own food/drinks.
Can't say enough about how lucky we were when we first found this place back in 2015, it will always be "our place"!

Back on the beach

"We enjoyed our stay at SPB405. The condo was clean and met our needs. The view was beautiful. The pool was open, along with a new walkway to the beach. In the minor issues we had, Select (Chris and Linda) accommodated our needs. (toilet kept running and battery in door lock went dead).
We have stayed in this unit many times and are always happy here!

"This was my family’s third visit to this condo. We enjoy staying at this location as it is quiet, access to the beach, a nice pool with plenty of chairs and the condo itself is beautiful. Decorated in a beach theme, the condo offers comfort and space for my family to enjoy. We always hate to leave! Select Vacation Properties always takes very good care of their customers. If I have any questions, they are quick to get back and fix any issues that arise in a timely fashion! The only thing I regret is not using them sooner as we’ve been coming to the island for many years! We appreciate everything they do! Thank you!

Sandpiper is a great retreat

"Sandpiper 405 was a very nice rental. We are picky but the condo felt clean from the moment we walked in. The whole resort was very clean. It is definitely tucked away and Sanibel as a whole is very quiet retreat..We had a fantastic stay and would say the only negatives would be the loud AC unit located in the hallway with the laundry because it was definitely used due to the very hot June week we had. some of the bathroom features could use updating, and the storage closet in the garage didn’t really have much usable stuff, it was all very old and could use a deep cleaning. Other than that, the kitchen was great, the bedrooms were nice, the living room was comfortable and patio was great too. We appreciated the washer and dry bc we packed lite. The only other negative is the No see-ums on the beach but that’s south Florida. We would definitely come back to Sandpiper though.

"This condo is perfectly situated on a lesser-travelled part of the island (don't tell anyone, we do like the lack of crowds). Perfect, centralized location for biking all over the island. The condo itself is very nice, recent upgrades made the place even better! Great choices on remodel really took the place to the next-level. Condo is roomy, great views, complex is always quiet (only 2 stories spread out over 4 buildings) makes for a great family stay! The owners are great to deal with, and Linda and Chris at Select Vacation Properties are spot-on with any questions or concerns, before or during the stay! Cannot recommend this group enough, go-stay-enjoy!

"With everything going on this year, my husband & I were in need of a getaway. Sanibel & Sandpiper Beach #405 was just what we needed. The condo was all comfortable & in a quiet location. It was well appointed with everything we needed. The updated kitchen was a plus. It was wonderful sitting on the lanai & looking out at the pool & ocean. The bikes were appreciated (I haven’t ridden that many miles since I was a kid). I shelled every morning & enjoyed walking the beach. Thanks again for a terrific rental experience.

"Great condo, great location, lots to do! Only downfall was the walkway had tons of wasps and I got stung on my foot and my 6 year old got stung on his toe. Then he was terrified to walk to the beach everyday. Other than that, it was great!

Wonderful Sanibel Experience

"We stayed in Sandpiper Beach 405 for 3 weeks during the coronavirus outbreak. This is an extremely clean, convenient condo. It has an updated kitchen and all furnishings are clean and comfortable--we loved the four bikes (in great shape) and all the beach equipment in the storage closet. The beach is right outside your door (wonderful view from the lanai),the pool is sparkling clean, and the grounds are immaculately groomed.
We rented through Select Vacation Properties--the staff there was wonderful in helping us deal with the issues caused by the pandemic, and was very careful about following the guidelines to help decrease the spread of the disease--abiding by the city's restrictions for the rentals, and providing hand sanitizer at the door and small bottles for people to take with them. We would certainly rent through this agency again.

"Overall the condo was clean and in good location for the ocean viewing and walking to the beach. The condo air filter was not clean and was replaced upon request. There was a hole in the wall behind the front door where the door knob would hit it. It had been patch before but there wasn’t a door stop in place to keep it from happening and it wasn’t repaired before we arrived. The blender didn’t blend and the coffee maker had a lot of rust on the burner.

"This waterfront condo was perfect. Clean and quiet with all the comforts of home. It was very hot during our stay and the central air did not disappoint . The bikes and beach accessories just made our vacation perfect ! I’ve never seen so many shells on a beach before . Great views and the grounds were pristine. Sanibel island should be on your bucket list! Everything is a short bike ride away. Lots of great wildlife to see and family friendly !!!!

"This June trip was the second year in a row that we have rented this same unit. We absolutely LOVE this location! The owners are great to deal with when ANY issues arise, or with any questions you may have before or during your stay. One reason we come back to this unit is the access to the "shed", in the parking area, where all of your beach stuff stays, no lugging boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs etc. up the stairs and getting condo filled with sand! The 4 bikes that come with condo make this an even sweeter deal. Covered parking is a major perk as well, no baking your car in the Florida sun!The location is perfect for Biking, in the center of the island, so getting around on the bike paths to anywhere is a breeze.I understand that this unit is undergoing renovation in July, thus ensures that we will return, as it was a pretty nice place already on our last two trips. Unit overlooks the pool and the gorgeous topiary, flora and fauna (bunny rabbits and birds everywhere!), and the OCEAN VIEW! I would highly recommend this condo, you will never be disappointed with the owners or the service you will receive from the folks at Select Vacation, all are great to deal with! What are you waiting for? LIFE IS SHORT,,HIT THE BEACH!! :-)

Paradise!

"We had an amazing time at Sandpiper beach. The condo was exactly what we were looking for and the location was perfect. A view of the pool and ocean. We took full advantage of having both within a few steps. The location is quiet with a short bike ride or car ride to everything you need. The beach was essentially our own private beach for our complex. The condo will be updated this summer but it was perfect for us. I would recommend adding a few things like a crock pot, pizza pan and cutter but wasn’t a deal breaker. We are already making plans to return to Sanibel and hope to stay in this location again!

"I have stayed here a couple of times before and love the location and this condo.Some improvements had been made since my last visit including a new flat screen tv in the lounge. There could be a few more cooking utensils in the cupboards but I don’t usually cook much anyway so it wasn’t a problem for me.

The condo was clean and well maintained as usual and the quiet location is excellent. I know from previous stays that there are bikes and beach chairs in the storage room on the ground floor but unfortunstely this time my stay was cut short due to personal reasons so I didn’t get to enjoy everything the condo has to offer, however I definitely recommend this condo for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break right on the beach and was just as described by Select Vacations.

"We rented unit 405 from Christine and Dom Carillo, and we could not have been happier with the accommodations! The condo complex is in a great location for the beach, and for exploring all of the bike trails on Sanibel! Our unit included 4 great bikes, our family literally put in about 100 miles over a 9 day stay! There are so many places to bike and see on the island! Our unit was very well stocked with all necessary cooking utensils, and anything you could possibly need to make meals in the condo! The unit has covered parking, so you don't have to bake your car in the Florida sun the entire time you are visiting, big plus for us. The unit has a storage area near the parking, that had a beach cart, chairs, beach toys,etc...this is also where the bikes are stored,,Very convenient! We had stayed at the Sanibel many years in the past, the amenities were getting fewer, while costs were rising, so glad we decided to check elsewhere for this trip to the island! We fully intend to contact Christine and Dom for our next trip to the island!

"The unit was comfortable, and accurately represented by the description and photos, and the location is great. The stairs should not be a problem unless carrying heavy suitcases or limited mobility. The owners were gracious, the property managers were easy to work with and the island is lovely and we enjoy it every time. The ability to use the excellent bikes and beach chairs were a great plus!

"We were moved here due to some work not being completed at the condo we booked, but it all worked out great. First of all we have to say that Patience Rodriguze is amazing and we love her. We have been dealing with her for the last seven years and she is always looking out for our best interests, always making sure we get what we need for our stay on Sanibel. This unit is very nice, clean and comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was a little to firm for me but still comfortable. It has a very nice view of the pool area and the gulf. The only draw back is, no elevator. Not to much of a big deal for my wife and I but a bit of an issue for my parents who are in their 70's. Other then that I would highly recommend this unit and Patience, would not even consider working with anyone else.

"A great week but with a day of long overdue rain and then the shells appeared. Didn't get a Junonia this time but lots of lacy Murex, Apples, Angel Wings, and, yes, even Wentletraps if you were looking for minis like we do. We left most of what we found behind for others to share since we've been coming down for 30+ years.

"When we checked out I left a review in the office which you perhaps overlooked. Once again, our stay was very good, great location, clean though lacking basic cleaning supplies, staff very helpful. The objective we had was to the out-of-date TV set in the living room, and the bedroom TV that needed a new remote, which your man Peter recommended and you quickly supplied. Kitchen well supplied with pots and pans but a covered microwave dish would be nice.

"This is my second stay at this condo which is comfortably furnished and with great views of the beach and pool exactly as per the web site. Cable TV and DVD players are in the lounge and bedrooms and Internet access is available. The owners make access to their storage shed available and there are bikes and beach equipment available in there. The only minor gripe is the lack of an elevator means lugging suitcases up 4 flights of stairs but the effort is well worth it. I spent most days lazing around in the mornings and reading/swimming on the beach in the afternoons. I have been coming to Sanibel since 1989 and some of my favourite restaurants have long disappeared like McT's and the old fish cabin just off the causeway but Timbers is back to its best after a rough spell, Doc Fords has moved opposite Bailey's with its eclectic menus, The Jacaranda is still very good and Rosie's is a great little place to eat. I definitely recommend this condo to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy this little piece of paradise.

"Condo was in excellent shape, decorated nicely and exceeded our expectations. Owners are responsive to any questions and could not have been more accommodating. 4 bikes were a plus as we saved a few hundred dollars on bike rentals. Property and grounds were immaculate.

"Very quiet location on a busy island. Boardwalk from property to beach. Grounds are beautifully maintained as is pool. Unit 405 was satisfactorily maintained. Nice large kitchen for a family that likes to have meals at "home". Bikes were in good shape and we used them to explore the many bike trails on Sanibel. A little problem with cleanliness when we arrived it was clear that the screened porch had not bee vacuumed. We also had problems cleaning up in the kitchen because the hot water was not hot enough to remove grease from stove top and pans. We actually heated water on the stove to use for doing dishes and cleaning up after dinner.

"We enjoyed this property. The master bedroom and screened porch were perfect to see the gulf, pool and garden, and the sunrise. The kitchen had all necessary pots, pans, dishes, glasses and accessories.

You don't want to be out driving between 4 and 6 pm since the traffic is almost at a standstill.

The beach is loaded with shells. We had to walk the beach wearing shoes/sandals. You can walk long distances on this beach which is basically flat ( no problem with having to walk on a slant like some beaches ).

The tennis court was adequate and right next to this unit.

"Our family of 4 have vacationed in Florida several times. We have gone to Destin the last few vacations but it seems too many people are in on the secret of Destin...too much traffic, too many buildings, and not enough seclusion. This condo in Sanibel was exactly what we were looking for. We loved the LACK of high-rises, Wal-marts, and miniature golf. The location of the condo was perfect - just a few steps to the beach and not on a busy road. The unit itself was great - perfect size and well furnished. The fact that the storage closet contained everything we needed at the beach was a big load off of worrying about having the proper provisions. Having bikes that we were able to use was fantastic. We used them everyday. The bike trails all over the island were hills, little traffic, and generous well paved trails made riding a pleasure. We will definitely be coming back to the island and, very likely, back to this unit at Sandpiper Beach! Thank you for sharing your beachfront home!

"We traveled down from the Tampa area for a week long vacation with our teenage daughter and to get married on the beach. If you're looking for a private, well maintained property with a great swimming pool, beautiful sunrise views of the coast and the be able to hear the waves coming in...this is the place. The condo was tastefully beach-décor decorated with comfortable bedding, plenty of seating, and nice beds. We liked that the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the condo for some privacy and that the master opened up to the screened in porch. The owners supplied everything that you would need for the week in linens, sheets, dishes, etc. It was comfortable and made it a relaxing trip. We thought we'd spend a day or two trying to pick the perfect beach location for the intimate sunrise wedding ceremony, but we didn't have to look further than right in front of the place. Incredible private-feel beach! Our ceremony (and pictures) turned out better than ever imagined. If I could make any recommendations, it would be just to upgrade the very old kitchen appliances and remodel the 70's bathrooms. They were functional and served the purpose, but could use an update. Also, the hike up from the parking garage to the 2nd floor wasn't ideal dragging up luggage, but it wasn't terrible. The garage itself and storage closet was a nice benefit. The property was well maintained with shuffle board and tennis courts. The pool was very clean and welcoming coming back from the beach. The whole property was quite, laid back and made us really enjoy our vacation. Would highly recommend and would come back!

"Our second stay in this unit two years in a row! Complex is lovely, beautifully maintained, the owners continue to upgrade the condo.they take pride in their upkeep. The amenities are lovely we had such fun on their bikes going all over. Granted these are older units but well-maintained. Stairs might be an issue for some because this units on the upper level but it also makes it very private!

"Perfect location right on the beach with awesome views. Pool was pristine. Very quiet. Great shelling beach and not crowded at all. The condo was just as advertised, clean with all the items you would need for a fun beach vacation. The bikes that were available to us were very appreciated. It was fun biking on the miles of bike paths around the island. We were surprised that we experienced no no-see-ums or mosquitoes at all. Great time - we would come back to this complex!
